Drawing Lesson: Elements and Principles Feathers. Start the year off teaching the elements and principles of design and have a groovy time doing it! Create a feather designed with as many elements and principles of design as possible. Advanced classes could add color or start with color. This project sneaks in a separate lesson on how to draw an eye which students will need when they work on self portraits.
